We are thrilled to announce Lujja Abdulaziiz from Soroti University in Uganda as the winner of our 2nd term Feedback Lucky Draw! Abdulaziiz has been awarded R5000 in recognition of his insightful feedback and participation.
Feedback on Tangible Games
In his report, Abdulaziiz shared his experiences with the Tangible games, which have significantly impacted the students at Soroti University. He highlighted how the RANGERS coding kit has become a popular tool among learners, not only during class hours but also in their free time. This coding kit has served as a catalyst for developing critical thinking and teamwork skills among the students.
Abdulaziiz noted, “The Tangible games have been a great game-changer for the learners. During both class hours and after class, many students engage with the RANGERS coding kit. This engagement has transformed them into critical thinkers and team players, as they constantly consult and collaborate with each other to find the best solutions for various challenges.”
He emphasized that these skills are not limited to the games alone. The students have started applying their newly acquired critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to their regular academic activities. “These skills are even being transferred to their normal classes as they are now active thinkers and participate fully in class activities,” Abdulaziiz added.
#coding4Mandela Tournament Finals
In addition to the feedback, Abdulaziiz also mentioned the recent #coding4Mandela tournament finals held at Soroti University. This event brought together students to showcase their coding skills and celebrate the spirit of innovation and teamwork. The tournament was a resounding success, further highlighting the positive impact of incorporating coding and digital literacy into the educational curriculum.
We congratulate Lujja Abdulaziiz once again on his win and commend him for his valuable feedback. His observations underscore the importance of integrating technology and interactive learning tools in education, fostering a new generation of active thinkers and collaborative learners.
